If You Were God?

If you were God, what would you do?

Whilst we might deny the existence of God, for many of us I am sure we have said at some point ‘If I were God I would…’

So what would you do if you were God? If you saw the world you created so broken, so much hurt, so much pain, so much suffering, so much sickness, so much war… what would you do?

Would you just leave them to it? Would you walk away?

Or would you try and tell them there is a different way. Would you try and communicate with the people you had created, and show them it doesn’t have to be that way?

Would you reach out to them in love and try to rescue them?

Would you let your child embark on a road of destruction and not try and stop them?

Christmas is more than a man in a red suit. It is more than gift giving. It is more than singing warm, fuzzy carols over mulled wine.

Christmas is about a God who so loves the world He created and can’t bear the destruction people are doing to each other, that He came Himself, God incarnate, in the babe whose birth we remember and celebrate, Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the hope we have in a broken world. He is not a fairy story, nor merely a Christmas tradition. He is real. We would love to introduce you to Him.

Our ever popular Carols, Candles, and Chocolates will be held on

December 11th at 4pm at The Institute. We would love to have you with us!
